12th IEEE European Symposium on Security and Privacy

Call For Workshop Proposals

Since 1980, the IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy has been the premier forum for presenting developments in computer security and electronic privacy, and for bringing together researchers and practitioners in the field. Following this story of success, in 2016 IEEE initiated the European Symposium on Security and Privacy (EuroS&P), which is organized every year in a European city. The 12th IEEE EuroS&P Symposium will be held in Madrid, Spain, on July 5–9, 2027. Pre-conference workshops will take place on Monday, July 5, 2027, and post-conference workshops on Friday, July 9, 2027.

Workshops associated with IEEE EuroS&P can be either full-day or half-day events and should provide a forum to address a specific topic at the forefront of security and privacy research.

Submissions of workshop proposals must reach the workshop chairs by October 30, 2026.

If proceedings are planned, the default option offered is publication through IEEE Xplore in a volume accompanying the main IEEE EuroS&P 2027 proceedings.

Workshop registration will be done together with the main conference, allowing workshop-only registrations as well. Support for accepted workshops includes rooms, coffee breaks, and lunches for the day of the workshop. Other expenses must be covered by the individual workshops.

Workshop Proposal Submission

Proposals should include:

Proposals must be submitted as a single A4 PDF document and are limited to three pages, excluding the draft Call for Papers included as an appendix.

The items listed above are requirements, not suggestions: proposals missing any of the requested information may be rejected. The Workshop Chairs reserve the right to contact the proposed workshop chairs to confirm their intention to organize the workshop.

Proposal Evaluation Criteria

We especially encourage proposals that address global aspects of computer security and privacy, including issues particular to parts of the world and communities that are often neglected.

Responsibilities

Organizers of accepted workshops will be responsible for:

Accepted workshops are expected to align their submission and review policies (including policies on the use of AI tools, research ethics, and conflicts of interest) with those of the main IEEE EuroS&P 2027 conference.
